The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Warren and several neighboring counties, effective from 6:00 pm Thursday, 01/09/2025 through 6:00 pm Friday, 01/10/2025. Total snowfall amounts of 1" - 4" are expected, which will result in slippery and hazardous road conditions that may impact Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
Winter Parking Restrictions are in effect. Street parking is NOT allowed during this time. Additionally, all basketball hoops and other obstructions must be removed from roadways so city staff can safely plow the streets. It is unlawful to park on city streets during this period. After receiving proper notification from a member of the Warrenton Police Department, any owner or operator failing to remove a parked vehicle will be guilty of a misdemeanor, and the vehicle will be towed at the owner's expense.
When significant snowfall occurs, the city will begin plowing snow routes first to ensure access for major roadways and emergency vehicles. These routes will be plowed as needed, depending on conditions, before secondary streets are addressed.
